South Tech Week Anti-Harassment Policy
South Tech Week’s anti-harassment policy aims to provide an event free of harassment or discrimination for each and every attendee, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, physical constitution, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, political ideology or hobbies.
The organization will not tolerate any expression or form of harassment towards any of the attendees or workers of the event. This includes, but is not limited to: physical aggression, verbal harassment, sexual harassment, intimidation, hate symbols, stalking, physical contact, or unwanted approach.
Taking pictures or videos where anyone involved feels they have been stalked, demeaned, or treated with disrespect is strictly prohibited. While it is reasonable for photographers to be capturing the contents of the event or attendees, if any disruptive, impermissible, harassing or sexual situation is incurred, the photographer may be removed from the premises.
If you want to approach or take a photo with any of the event’s attendees or guests, always ask first and respect the person’s right to say no. When you are at South Tech Week, be respectful and nice to everyone.
Remember that, as in any other place, all applicable laws regarding criminal activity, harassment, violation of honour, violence and sexual harassment, as well as standards of respectful and polite behaviour, also apply within the premises of the Palacio de Congresos de Granada and during the South Tech Week event. Therefore, any illegal behaviour will be immediately reported to the police and immediate action will be taken against any inappropriate behaviour.
In addition, any situation of discomfort, harassment or discrimination observed by the organizers or workers of the event or reported by the attendees will lead to the implementation of those measures deemed necessary by the organization of the event, including the immediate and irrevocable expulsion from the premises of the event without the right to return the tickets.
If you witness or are a victim of any act of harassment, realize that someone is being harassed, or have any comments regarding the safety and comfort of South Tech Week attendees, please follow the steps below:
- Report it immediately to the event’s Registration/Information point.
- If you are unable to find a member of the organization team to assist you, please contact any of the South Tech Week security guards directly.
We want you to not only enjoy the event, but to feel in an environment where you are safe and accepted.
